The quaint downtowns feature coffee shops, locally owned restaurants, car shows, farmers' markets, and much more. Strong traditional school systems permeate Essex County, and offer 2 Vocational schools. The Georgetown boys' baseball team just won the 2026 Division 5 State Championship. "Bean Park", the Georgetown High School field, was just voted the best baseball field in Region 1 (there are 8 regions in the country).

From Essex County, it is convenient to reach Boston, the vacation lands of Maine, New Hampshire, & Vermont, where you enjoy boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, Fall foliage, winter activities, or simply hanging out and relaxing.
