National Kitten Day on July 10 is a wonderful reminder that even the tiniest paws can leave the biggest footprints on our hearts. Whether they're chasing a toy across the floor, curling up for an afternoon nap, or greeting you at the door with an enthusiastic purr, kittens have a special way of filling a house with laughter, love, and life. It's also the perfect time to consider adopting from a local shelter or rescue, where countless kittens are waiting for a safe, loving home. After all, a house becomes even more of a home when it's shared with a furry friend. 🐾🐱
“Kittens are angels with whiskers.”
Alexis Flora Hope
National Kitten Day was founded in 2012 by pet and family lifestyle expert and animal advocate, Colleen Paige. National Kitten Day celebrates the magic of kittens and to show how much joy they bring to people's lives. National Kitten Day was also created to highlight the plight of homeless kittens in search of their fur-ever home.
“A kitten is in the animal world what a rosebud is in the garden.”

National Kitten Day's purpose is to encourage kitten adoption and to focus on spaying and neutering as a way to keep the feline population under control.
