One of my favorite things about living and working in Madison County is seeing our communities come together through local events. Whether you're new to the area, thinking about buying a home, or you've lived here for years, weekends like this remind us why Berea and Richmond are such great places to call home.
This weekend offers something for everyone.
Richmond kicks things off Saturday with the Cookie Cart Popup from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, followed by the Third Annual "All Aboard" Coal Train 421 excursion at 11:00 AM. Later that evening, locals can enjoy the Spicy Wing Eating Contest and live music from Wakita from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
On Sunday, Berea welcomes families to Fairies at Whimsy's Books from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, while the Chenault Farmers Market offers another opportunity to support local growers, artisans, and small businesses.
Events like these do more than provide entertainment, they strengthen community connections, support local entrepreneurs, and showcase the welcoming lifestyle that attracts so many people to Madison County.
As a local Realtor, I believe getting involved in community events is one of the best ways to truly experience the neighborhoods we call home.
