What recipe do you use to be successful?

I sometime wonder what

makes for a good recipe for our Real Estate Business, the more time I am in Real Estate the more I am learning.

I once heard this great story and like to past it on to you all.

It starts with a person that loves to cook (Like me), had a great recipe like mine for lasagna.  He made dinner for this person and the guest ask for the recipe.  Weeks later, the person start the friend and ask if the friend made the lasagna yet and how it turn out.  She said it was not the same, wondering why not the person ask if they follow the recipe.  Well the friend said almost, the friend explain that she did not have lasagna noodle but she had some shells pasta so she use that instead.  She said instead of the homemade sauce she just use two cans of tomato sauce and added some hamburger.  Guess she forgot i made mine from scratch and also added pork sausage to the sauce besides hamburger.  As for the cheese, she did not have what the recipe called for so she did have Velveeta cheese and use that for the cheese.

Now I wonder, is this what happens sometime to us, do we change to many things and expect a better results.  Does this make you think about your recipe for success?

Good morning, Will... I don't change what's not broken. I've always felt the first question should be what do we define as success. Till you have that answer you can't have a recipe.

Educating. Encouraging. Serving.

Good morning Will,

Great story! Some feel confident in improvising and sometimes they get carried away and deviate from the basics way too much and the recipe is a failure! Same goes in real estate.

Good morning, Will.

I like solid systems for buyers and sellers. Check lists help keep things on track. Always look for improvement in the processes. Keep doing more of what works. Consistency is important. Following up after closing and keeping in touch with former customers.

Well, at the very least they demonstrated that their recipe didn’t work and should have suggested that they try yours properly the next time

If we don't adapt, we won't survive the changing trends in real estate. AI is transforming the industry, and even agents who rely on repeat clients and referrals must still move quickly and efficiently.

The recipe is the same—the oven is changing. :)
