On July 9, 2026, National Association of Realtors® (NAR) reported that nationwide existing home sales decreased 2.4% to annual rate of 4.09 million homes in June of 2026 from May of 2026, but increased 2.8% from June of 2025.
There were 1.56 million available inventory supply of homes in June of 2026, down 0.6% from May of 2026, but grew 1.3% from in June of 2025.
The median home value price was $429,300 in June of 2026 rose 1.3% from $423,700 in May of 2025, but down from $426,900 in June of 2025.
There were 4.6 months available of homes in June of 2026, up from to 4.5 months in May of 2026, but unchanged from 4.6 months in June of 2025.
First time buyers acquired 33.0% of homes in June of 2026, lower from 35.0% in May of 2026, but higher from 30.0% in June of 2025.
Distressed homes sales were 2.0% in June of 2026 increased from 1.0% in May of 2026, but declined from 3.0% in June of 2025.
