After reading hundreds of comments, I've learned there isn't a simple answer. What surprised me most after moving here wasn't the ages of the residents, it was how quickly we made friends.
Within a few months I was golfing with a regular group, playing monthly poker, enjoying dinners with the "Birthday Boys," and attending neighborhood driveway parties. Before long, we were hosting Halloween and Ugly Sweater Christmas movie nights with more than 100 people attending.
