Great historical walk down memory lane, Dorie! It is always amazing to look back at these milestones—seeing how far technology and pop culture have come since things like the first test tube baby or Bugs Bunny's debut is fascinating!

If you really study the life of Ben Franklin (and many of the other founding fathers) you realize what an amazing man he was.

I always enjoy these historical roundups, they're a fun reminder of how much can happen in just one week across different years. The Apollo 11 splashdown and Bugs Bunny's debut are two milestones that never get old to read about!

Dorie even though the final score in the World Cup championship game between Spain and Argentina was only 1-0, it was one of the most dominated one-sided games that I have seen.

I agree totally George Souto. The score did not reflect the match!

I like that you have a current event story in the list as well.  The World Cup was quite a big deal, haha.

Dorie:

I always enjoy reading these each week...remember some happenings and learning about others. Hard to believe the Post Office has been around that long. I wonder what Ben Franklin would think of the current operations...and costs!
