Friday Flags: Flying high for the Eagles and a Big Crowd

Friday nights in July have been special for us for years now as we enjoy the Talcott Mountain Music Festival with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra in Simsbury CT.

Last Friday featured the music of The Eagles, presented withthe HSO and a tribute band from Nashville called 7 Bridges. 

This was a well-attended event with a crowd within the fences well over 6,000.

Ooops, someone moved!!

Even though it was a still evening, the energy of the music and the audience allowed for a photo of the flag, adjacent to the stage so I could share it here today.

Fortunately, the musicians, and 7-Bridges had power to drown out the voices, (off key) of those in the audience that were really fans of the Eagles.

We will be there for the final concert this evening, featuring music of the MTV generation.

Good morning, Ed... 6,000 people is a whole lot of people! I believe I was never part of the MTV generation... I don't know that I would have known where to find it on my TV.

Listening to the Eagles on a summer night with over 6,000 people must have been a site to see. I am not much of a concert person or Eagle fan, but I am sure many enjoyed it.

That's quite a large crowd Ed. Larry and I enjoy Friday night concerts too, weather permitting. The flag was there to make the evening even better!

Ed your post reminds me of all the outdoor events I took my folks to year ago.  They loved it and so did I.  My favorite was a harp event.  Amazing!

Ed years ago, SIGNA in Bloomfield use to bring in big stars for their free outdoor concerts and pull in real big crowds.  I got to see Johnny Cash & his family, Roberta Flack, Chubby Checker, and others.  We would get there early so we could get a good spot, make a day of it with food and drink.

That looks like such a fun event!  Great attendance and the types of music sound great!

Love outdoor music.  We have 4+ events around Scottsdale in parks, outdoor shopping malls in the spring and fall months.
