Every year at this time of year the Discovery Channel has tons of shark documentaries airing and plenty of movies too. Years ago ( about 10) we hosted a Shark Party. Gary was supposed to record the featured movie but he forgot to. So we relied on a back up that was so darn funny! Total Spoof called Ghost Shark. Sharks popped up everywhere- bathroom sinks, kitchen sinks, you name it. Can you imagine being in the kitchen and a shark jumps out of the sink? You can find it on Amazon Prime.
We decided to watch a shark documentary about large 'dark' sharks that were popping up a lot in Australia. It's was interesting. What I learned is I'd never have chosen that career path! Good grief, the scientists were hanging out on a little tiny 'bait' raft hoping to tag the sharks and get photos of them. One gal was down in one of those little 'shark baskets'. No thanks! She barely made it out!
Since it's so darn hot here in Phoenix we decided to have friends over for another Shark Party - which includes the Ghost Shark Movie and Happy Hour including shark bites (just kidding)! Although I could come up with a few, I don't have time to do so today. So we'll stick with the usual fair, veggie and cheese board and shrimp. Following will be a BBQ with burgers, dogs, mac n cheese, Cole slaw and potato salad. Perfect food for a hot summer night in Phoenix. If I had more time I'd make the Raspberry Cake that Nina Hollander, Broker posted today. Check it out it sounds delicious!
