It's August 2026 already.
Didn't this year seem to fly by?
Like many people, I keep my appointments on my phone. But at the beginning of each month, I still enjoy opening a traditional wall calendar and looking at all those blank squares. I still print my annual client calendars because they remind me that while technology keeps me organized, a month's worth of blank pages still inspires me to think about possibilities.
There's something inspiring about seeing an entire month waiting to be filled.
Of course, many of the days are already committed to routine activities—meeting clients, showing homes, writing contracts, inspections, and keeping up with everything that comes with real estate.
But I also like to challenge myself to add something new every month.
A new class.
A new networking event.
A new marketing idea.
A new opportunity to learn.
This August, one of those new experiences will be participating in a Virtual Tour – Pitch Your Listing event, where I'll be presenting my new listing at 5205 W. Melody Lane in Laveen.

Out of curiosity, I even asked AI to create an illustration of what my August might look like. When I looked at the finished image, my first thought was:
"This is going to be a busy month!"
Then I smiled.

Busy isn't necessarily the goal.
A meaningful month is.
Here's to hoping August brings interesting conversations, new friendships, successful transactions, and a few pleasant surprises along the way.
How do you begin a new month?
Do you simply let it unfold, or do you intentionally decide what you'd like to add before the calendar begins filling itself?
If August had one "highlight" that you're hoping to create, what would it be?
