It's International Cat Day… for cat lovers (like me), today is the purr-fect excuse to celebrate all things feline! 🐱 Also known as World Cat Day, this special day was established in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare to honor our whiskered companions around the globe.
The theme for International Cat Day 2026 is "Cats for Climate." The 2026 theme seeks to highlight the positive environmental impact of adoption versus buying from breeders, as well as to encourage shelter adoption and community support. Did you know: 1.5 tons of CO2 are saved for each adopted cat versus a cat purchased from a breeder?
