Networking isn't just about collecting business cards—it's about building relationships that can change the trajectory of your business and your life. You never know which conversation will be the one that changes everything.

Hi William- love it. Most of what we have these days are texts and emails.  Conversations, a real exchange of ideas and opinions, are rare. This is one reason why I value our Zoom calls. We can see and hear others and share thoughts. 

One conversation I remember that impacted my business...early on, when I joined the WCR as an Affiliate, an agent shared with me that it wasn't enough to join an organization. You  have to be active in it and volunteer. And, don't just pass out business cards at events. Get to know 5 people at an event...talk to them. 

I cannot think of one specific conversation, but can say I still get tons of ideas of ways to do things better, opportunities to look into, etc. Having conversations and developing relationships is an amazing thing!

I love being an entrepreneur the last 47 years and I hate the misleading and inaccurate label "solo-preneur" because there's no such thing. A solopreneur is just a colorful phrase for soon to be a failure. No one and I mean no one succeeds alone in a vacuum - we all get help from books, classes, colleagues, teammates, employees, coaches, videos, etc.
Our longevity depends on our collaborations and our Net Work is what determines our Net Worth. And yes it's been 47 years because I started my first entrepreneurial business that turned a profit at age 10 - neighborhood car washer! 😉

This is so true. I think when I had my antiques business I was told by a bank manager to turn my stock more often, don't hold out for the biggest profit use your money again and again and that will provide a bigger end result than holding out for the last penny. My Dad had said something similar, take the first profit, there is always more things to buy.
