After posting about where to go after I receive my Residency card, I started looking around at different locations. One I had looked at previously was the Azores, as I have seen so many just stunning photos.
Then I looked at some info for the area, and noticed there have been TWO 5+ earthquakes in the last year on the islands. There also has been one in Lisbon and one in Evora.
Something I didn't know is how many earthquakes happen each day.
- 93 earthquakes in the past 24 hours
- 1,037 earthquakes in the past 7 days
- 5,004 earthquakes in the past 30 days
- 55,830 earthquakes in the past 365 days
The highest number seen on Friday was 5.3 in Peru. Had no idea this many! 93 in the last 24 hours!!!
Then I was hearing about volcanoes, and at any given time, and right now there are dozens active around the world.
Dozens of volcanoes are actively erupting worldwide. Notable active sites include Kīlauea in the United States, Fuego in Guatemala, Lewotobi and Semeru in Indonesia, Mount Etna in Italy, and Popocatépetl in Mexico.
So, along with the scorching heat, disastrous fires burning all over the world, Mother Nature is wreaking havoc.
