There were 593,920 active listing inventory of homes in the South in July of 2026 down 0.2% from July of 2025; while there were 1871,480 new listed homes in July of 2026 gained 1.3% from July of 2025. The median list price of a home was $386,000 in July of 2026, dropped 2.5% from July of 2025, and houses stayed 1 day less in the market in July of 2026, from July of 2025 in the South.
