I thought this was going to be simple.
I ordered a Woody toy, bought it, paid for it, and waited for it to arrive. Why? Because of Brian England. I had an idea for a fun “Where’s Woody?” photo to use with my book, Real Estate the Rome Way.
The toy arrived. I own it. I have the packaging. I have the receipt. And I personally took a photograph of Woody standing with my computer and one sitting right in front of my own book.
Then I asked AI to do something terribly complicated: crop the picture.
Nope.
AI decided it couldn't help because Woody is a copyrighted character.
I explained that this was MY toy and MY photograph. I wasn't asking AI to create Woody, copy Woody, redesign Woody, or sell Woody. I just wanted the clutter around my photograph removed.
Still no.
We went around a few times. I explained. AI apologized. I explained again. AI apologized again. Woody remained exactly where he was, surrounded by all the stuff I wanted cropped out.
Are there other programs that could probably, do it? Absolutely.
Am I going to spend another hour finding one?
Absolutely not.
