Friday Flags: A State Shows Respect for a Special Politician

Flags in Connecticut this week are at half-mast out of respect for a former politician that was really one of the good ones.

Former Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman had served as a lieutenant governor and was also the first woman to serve as state comptroller.

She was an advocate for health care access, and instrumental in the state's Affordable Care Act as well as being respected for her leadership, humor and dedication to public service.

The flags will be flown at half-mast until the services are completed for her.

I do respect the flags being flown in honor of a dedicated state resident and also want to leave a positive as well.
