Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools resume classes on Tuesday, August 25th (with some nearby Charlotte region counties already in session). This means school zones will once again be active and enforced.

🚸 School Zone Speed Limits in Charlotte
School zone speed limits in Charlotte are 25 mph.-
These reduced limits are enforced:
45 minutes before school starts until 15 minutes after
15 minutes before dismissal until 30 minutes after school ends
Zones are marked with signs and may use flashing lights.
Speed limits are only enforceable on school days — unless the lights are flashing, in which case you must obey them even if school isn’t in session.
