I look forward to the annual Austin PT50 15X30 Education Symposium every year, and I wouldn’t think of missing it! This year’s event, held Wednesday, August 25 at the Commons Event Center at UT Austin, was another winner.
I loved the new location, the conveniently paid parking, and especially the auditorium-style seating. Everyone had a great view of the stage, which meant I could focus on listening, learning, and taking plenty of notes!
So, what exactly is 15X30 PT50?
The concept is simple…but definitely not easy! Eight top industry experts take the stage, each presenting 15 slides that automatically advance every 30 seconds. That gives each speaker just 7½ minutes to share their most important ideas, insights and takeaways. Talk about making every second count!
And this year’s speakers delivered.
I walked away with at least one “aha!” or useful tidbit from every presentation. In fact, I made a point of reaching out to each presenter afterward to tell them how much I enjoyed their presentation and how unique their approach was. There’s something pretty special about a format that can pack so much knowledge into such a short amount of time.
Of course, one of my favorite parts of the day is getting to sit alongside my son, John, and daughter, Melissa. Learning together, sharing ideas and supporting one another makes an already great day even better.
A huge thank you to Chelsea Timmons, President of PT50 Austin, for once again putting together a game-changer of an event. The energy, the speakers, the format and the opportunity to connect with other professionals make this a “must attend” event on my calendar every year.
Never Stop Learning
After all these years in real estate, I’ve learned that there is always something new to discover. The day you stop learning is the day you stop growing, and I’m certainly not ready to do either!
Here’s to another year of learning, connecting and bringing new ideas back to the people I’m fortunate enough to serve.
