When You're Active - It Rains!
Anyone who has spent more than a few cycles in this industry understands full-well the importance of working behind the scenes to avoid the feast vs famine nature of the business. Many newbie agents are known to give up quick because 'riches and fame' take time.
Agents can do these 5 things to remain visible to buyers and sellers:

Check-in with raving fans from past sales dealings who will refer to their sphere. Referrals and repeat business still drive a large share of production in slower cycles for the agents who stay in touch harvest that when others go quiet.

Pick a defined geographical area of homes. Send postcards, just-sold cards, neighborhood snapshots, printed or emailed market reports. Consistency beats flash and homeowners will recognize the name before they need an agent.

Slow periods lend more time to consider the client database. Organize all your client information, track dates of property deals, it helps to automate communication between sales. Avoid neglecting past clients, they are golden.

People experience unforeseen circumstances like divorce, sudden debilitating illness, job challenges, retirement. Past business relationships have been established, remind them you are the dependable higher-trust source.

Rather than show up like a salesperson, be the person to offer information when market conditions change, or when needing a bigger property due to growing pains or as life shifts, requiring the sale of a property. No urgency needed.
Being a real estate agent is less than glamorous at times but doing the work still separates those who are still in the business two cycles from now, from the ones who aren’t. Still here and accounted for!
