REALTOR Postcard Marketing Still Works - Even in a Digital World

In an age of nonstop emails, online ads, and nuisance texting, postcard marketing remains one of the most effective and appreciated ways for realtors to stay connected. There’s something powerful about a tangible piece of mail that people see it, hold it, and often keep it.

Unlike digital messages that disappear in seconds, postcards get placed on refrigerators, tucked into folders, or saved for the moment someone starts seriously considering a move.

Postcard marketing continues to outperform many modern methods.

It feels personal, local, and trustworthy. Homeowners recognize your name, your face, and your results. And when you send postcards consistently, whether it’s Just Listed, Under Agreement, Just Sold, or a Market Update , you stay top‑of‑mind in a way digital noise simply can’t match.

At the end of the day, consistent postcard marketing outperforms buying into lead‑generation services. Those paid platforms chase cold contacts, but postcards nurture warm relationships, the people who already know your name, recognize your results, and trust your expertise. A well‑timed postcard becomes a physical reminder, waiting for the moment someone is ready to make a move. That kind of staying power simply can’t be matched by online ads or purchased leads.

When you show up in the mailbox year‑round, you build a brand that lasts and that’s how real business grows.

Hi Kelly... and not just postcards... any kind of snail mail. I've found that people like receiving mail and being able to touch something tangible.

I always do a handwritten note cards for anniversaries, birthdays or anything else that I may catch if I follow them on facebook.

I agree! There’s something different about getting a postcard in the mail. It feels more personal than another email that gets lost in the inbox.

Hello Kelly, I still spend money on postage to keep the post office open but emailing them does work.

Kelly McGovern I agree and one of our members who is no longer active, Barbara Todaro proved the value of these mailings over and over.

Everyone scans through their mail....if they're thinking of selling, they'll save the card until they're ready..... I actually went on one listing appointment where the owner saved 10 of my cards and spread them on the table for me to see!!!!! That was like spreading cash on the table!!!!

Hi Stranger!  YES! I’ve been to appointments where a few of my postcards were proudly displayed on the table as well—they really work!

Kelly- when I saw the title, I immediately thought of Barbara Todaro and what she taught us. People still keep postcards, just as people still want to read real books.

I had success with my postcard campaign, which I did after someone told me postcards don't work!
