September 2026 ActiveRain Challenge—You Bring the Topic, We’ll Bring the Round Table!
Carol Williams and I are delighted to be hosting the September Challenge together again—and this month, we’re putting the conversation in your hands!
Over the years, our Tuesday ActiveRain Zoom calls have included presentations, demonstrations, interviews and plenty of lively conversations. But when we ask attendees which calls they enjoy most, we hear the same answer again and again: The Round Tables!
It makes perfect sense. ActiveRain has always been at its best when members share their experiences, exchange ideas and help one another work through the challenges we face in business—and in life.
So, for September, we’re asking:
What Would YOU Like to Discuss?
Your challenge is to write a post suggesting a topic for an upcoming ActiveRain Zoom round table.
Choose something you would genuinely like to explore with other members. It might be a challenge you’re currently facing, a change you’re seeing in your market or a question you suspect others are asking, too.
Your post should include:
- Your proposed round-table topic
- Why the topic matters right now
- Two or three questions that could help guide the conversation
- What you hope to learn—or what experience you could contribute
Your topic does not need to support a formal presentation. In fact, the best round-table subjects are open-ended questions that encourage members to share different perspectives, practical strategies and real-life experiences.
And remember, our round tables do not have to be limited to real estate or business. ActiveRain friendships have always reached far beyond the closing table, and many of us are navigating similar seasons of life.
Supporting older family members, adjusting after a major loss or change, creating a fulfilling life on your own, keeping important relationships strong, making our well-being a priority and planning wisely for the years ahead could all inspire thoughtful and valuable conversations. If it matters to you, chances are someone else in the Rain would welcome the opportunity to talk about it, too.
Need a little inspiration? Here are a few possibilities:
- What are agents doing when listings aren’t getting showings?
- How are buyer agents navigating contingent offers?
- Which prospecting methods are actually working today?
- Are open houses producing meaningful business?
- How are agents using AI while preserving their authentic voices?
- What do experienced agents do when a transaction begins to unravel?
- How do you stay motivated during a slower or changing market?
- How do you balance caring for others with taking care of yourself?
- What helps friendships remain meaningful as our lives change?
- How can we prepare for a new chapter before it arrives?
- How do we maintain a sense of purpose and connection as our roles, responsibilities and circumstances change?
These are only examples. We want to hear what you believe deserves a place at the table!
We will review the submissions and use them to create a topic bank for future Tuesday Zoom calls. Similar suggestions may be combined into broader conversations, giving us the opportunity to explore a subject from several different angles.
Selected topics will become part of our upcoming Zoom schedule—so your challenge entry could help shape one of our most engaging conversations yet!
Challenge Guidelines
- Write a post of at least 300 words proposing a topic for an upcoming ActiveRain Zoom round table.
- Explain why the topic matters and include two or three questions that could help guide the conversation.
- Include at least one image.
- Post a link to your entry in the comment section below.
- Submit your entry by September 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
- Earn 1,500 ActiveRain bonus points for participating.
You’re more than welcome to include more than one proposed topic in your post, but one well-developed idea is all you need to complete the challenge!
