Ahead Of The Crowd

When I was active as an Agent, Broker, and later a Broker Owner I was at work at 7 AM every day. Although I worked for several builders out of their model homes I very rarely had clients or customers come around at that time. That may be exactly why 7AM worked so well for me. I was alert and ready for the new day so I could get a lot done in the next 2 or 3 hours without interruption.

What worked for me was knowing when I was at my peak consciousness. I realize I am in a very small minority, peaking at 7AM. Now, retired, my peak has moved slightly. 7:30 now works best for me.

My point is that even if your peak consciousness is NOT the ideal for your profession you can work around it and still be successful.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Timmothy has never repeated a joke/comic strip in the 12 years he has been writing it. He has never copied another strip, such as Peanuts or Garfield. You can follow Timmothy on FB as Titus & Philemon and you can also check him out on Instagram as Instagram.com/titus and philemon/ .For Timmothy's website type timmtimmothy.com into your browser. I tried to put it in a link here but it refuses to work. Do NOT put anything in front of timmtimmothy.com or it will not work.

Plenty of rest is the key to being able to get ahead of the crowd, haha.

That sure applies to me in the morning Brian England . When I was active I only remember two or three other Realtors in my MLS that got to work before 10AM

It is definitely important to get as much work done as possible when we are at our best!

Agreed Kat Palmiotti . I always take a nap at lunch time and some times it restores me to peak performance and some times not.

Bob "RealMan" Timm - I understand completely. I'm also an early bird getting up at 4:00 a.m. I accomplish a good night sleep going to bed earlier and rising early to seize the quietest part of the day.

Good morning, Bob... I've always been an early morning person and since my corporate days have started my day working by no later than 7:00 am.

Good morning Bob. If my Dad slept until 5 he thought it a late start. Somehow it caught me and 5 was time to rise. Now years later being retired, I am trying to move it back to 5:30 but I do go to bed earlier, preferring 10PM opposed to 11:30. Enjoy your day.

I often wondered if my dad slept Wayne Martin . When I was a kid (back in elementary school) I had a MLPS Tribune paper route and they had to be delivered by 6AM so that stuck with me all my life.

Bob, knowing your peak hours and structuring your day before the interruptions start is such a powerful way to stay ahead! It is amazing how much can get done in those quiet early-morning hours before the rest of the world wakes up.
PS: My golden hours are 6:30 - 9:30 am

Bob "RealMan" Timm I feel the same way. I get to Starbucks early, and rarely get interrupted until maybe 9:30  :)

We only have two Starbucks in Minot Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty and they are always busy. They do have competition, in fact something new opened just last month so between 3 or 4 othe shops and countless kiosks Starbucks no longer have lines going around the block.
