Austin’s newest luxury hot spot just opened, and talk about making an entrance! 🌿🏙️
The brand-new 1 Hotel Austin opened this weekend in the Waterline, Austin’s tallest building, and the timing couldn’t have been better. With the first UT home football game of the season happening, it looks like plenty of people wanted to be among the first to check it out!
Located on the first 16 floors of the 74-story Waterline tower in the Rainey Street District, 1 Hotel Austin brings a whole new level of luxury, Â literally, to the Austin skyline.
And this isn’t your ordinary hotel. 🌿
There’s an apiary, a rooftop pool, a spa and several restaurants, including Watr, a Japanese-inspired rooftop restaurant and bar right alongside the pool. Down in the lobby, Alteño Austin offers another dining option, while Neighbors Café & Wine Bar starts the day with breakfast and lunch and transitions into a wine bar in the evening. 🍷
The hotel has 252 rooms, including 60 suites, and even the rooms have that relaxed Austin-meets-luxury feel, with cotton robes, slippers and yoga mats.
This is the first Texas property for 1 Hotels, the luxury hospitality brand founded by billionaire investor Barry Sternlicht, and its arrival definitely adds another interesting chapter to the ever-changing Rainey Street skyline.
I have a feeling 1 Hotel Austin is going to be one of those places people will be talking about,  whether they’re checking in for the weekend, meeting friends for dinner, or simply heading up for that rooftop view.
And really… what says Austin better than luxury, a rooftop pool, great food and a little bit of greenery 74 stories above the city? 💚
