Tuesday’s Thoughts…31 Words

When we think about the words we are saying, they have a lot more meaning, and it certainly makes us think about whether we should be saying them or not, haha.

Good morning Kathy. In the past all were proud to be Americans. Today, many do not want to be a loyal American but still want to enjoy the benefits. Common sense has left the stage and needs to return before it is too late. Enjoy your day.

We do not say it near enough. These are great words. They tell of a time I fear no longer exists.

Live the girl in the video was awesome explaining the meaning of the 31 words in the Pledge of Allegiance. We recited the Pledge every day of school the very first thing and it was a great way to start the day. You are right.. pausing and listening to the words again brings new meaning. 

Good morning, Kathy... I've never had a problem understanding what the Pledge of Allegiance means. Maybe that's because of how I was raised reciting it each morning in school, maybe because I'm a naturalized citizen. I've never understood why people find it and out flag "triggering." I've often thought to myself that those people who do, should just leave the USA and go where they are not triggered.

Many may say them Kathy, but I wonder how many really think about those words!

Kathy, although they did't celebrate Labor Day here, I definitely know the Pledge and celebrated in my own way.

Kathy I have recited the pledge of allegiance many times, and each time I do pay attention to the words and what they mean to me.

Like you, I believe in every single word of The Pledge of Allegiance, Kathy. We do have the freedom to simply be, thank goodness! 🇺🇸

The first time I said it was at my citizenship confirmation in 2019. I felt so proud to say it as an American. I also take my voting rights very seriously. I think it's a good thing to teach kids but also so they understand it.
