A total of 2,977 people were killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks, including 2,753 at the World Trade Center, 343 firefighters, and 60 police officers.
Evil did NOT prevail on 911. American patriotism did!
When evil, cowardly forces decided to attack and kill over 3,000 civilians I don't believe they anticipated the push back by American citizens and all Christians world wide.
I don't think evil expected people to embrace the call to become first responders instead of running away from helping others.
In Minot's 4th of July Parade the call to be a first responder was evident. If I had to guess I'd say that 30% of the 250 participants (floats) in the parade were first responders.
There we many from the medical field, law enforcement, fire departments and more. Of course there were also hundreds, if not thousands of American flags involved. Just look at all the flags handed out by vendors in the parade (this was my candy stash):

When we think of 911 hero's we rightfully think of the first responders first but we should also remember those of us who were outraged by the cowardly attack on innocent people and showed our outrage by proudly flying the American flag.
In conclusion I want to say that if you are not proud of our great nation shame on you. You should have no part of this coming Patriots Day on September 11th.
