Auburn Homes for Sale: Bigger Closet or Bigger Shower?
Auburn homes for sale come with all kinds of features, but here’s an either/or question that can tell me a lot about what matters to a buyer:
Would you rather have a bigger primary closet or a bigger shower?
Give one buyer a huge walk-in closet with built-in storage, shelves and room for everything.
Give another buyer an oversized shower with beautiful tile, multiple showerheads and maybe a bench.
Both sound pretty nice.
But if you could only choose ONE?
That’s where it gets interesting.
If you’re moving to Auburn, Alabama, or planning an Auburn relocation, little preferences like these can become surprisingly important once you start touring homes.
Auburn Homes for Sale: What Do You Actually Want?
It’s easy to start a home search with the big requirements.
Price.
Location.
Bedrooms.
Bathrooms.
Square footage.
Garage.
Those things matter.
But once we start touring homes, buyers begin reacting to the smaller details.
One primary bathroom feels cramped.
Another has a beautiful shower.
One house barely has enough closet space.
Another has a walk-in closet that practically feels like another room.
That’s when the theoretical wish list becomes real.
How you actually use a home matters.
Would You Choose the Bigger Closet?
I’m guessing plenty of people are choosing the closet without even thinking about it.
A large primary closet can make everyday life easier.
Depending on the home, you might have:
- Hanging space
- Shoe storage
- Built-in drawers
- Shelving
- Separate sections
- Seasonal storage
- Space for luggage
- Room to actually move around
And here’s the thing about storage:
You don’t usually appreciate enough of it until you live somewhere that doesn’t have it.
A beautiful house can start feeling cluttered pretty quickly when there’s nowhere to put anything.
Or Would You Choose the Bigger Shower?
Then we have Team Shower.
And I understand this one, too.
A spacious primary shower can completely change the feel of a bathroom.
Features might include:
- Large tiled shower
- Frameless glass
- Built-in bench
- Shower niche
- Handheld showerhead
- Multiple showerheads
- Easy-to-maintain surfaces
- Additional room to move comfortably
For buyers who don’t care much about having a bathtub in the primary bathroom, the shower can become one of the main features they notice.
Walk into a beautiful bathroom with a huge shower and it’s easy to think:
Okay. I want this.
Bigger Closet vs. Bigger Shower
And that’s exactly why I like these either/or questions.
There’s no correct answer.
They reveal how different buyers prioritize the exact same house.
So Which One Are You Choosing?
Here’s the rule:
You only get ONE.
BIGGER CLOSET
or
BIGGER SHOWER
I have a feeling people are going to have strong opinions about this one.
And that’s what makes these questions interesting.
There isn’t one perfect Auburn house for everyone.
The goal is finding the house that works for you.
