9/11 A Day to NEVER FORGET

Remembering 9/11

September 11 is a day we will never forget.   We remember where we were and what we were doing.

We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the incredible courage of the first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.

So much has changed since that day, but the memories remain. We remember not only the tragedy, but also the way people came together—with kindness, courage, and a renewed sense of what truly matters.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Joan Cox, Retired Broker/Owner good morning, Joan... sadly that "coming together" in the days after 9/11 has gone away in our society. People do forget, even if I, for one, will never forget.

Nina Hollander, Broker not if they are good Americans!   I won't forget ever.  I had a dentist appt today on the calendar, and shuddered when I saw 9/11.

I remember my ex-wife was 8 months pregnant. She had a cousin who worked in the towers. We did not find out for a couple of weeks that he did not make it  :(

Awful.

Good Morning Joan Cox, Retired Broker/Owner

The bonding that took place during and afterwards is something that should continue. But humans do have a tendency not to forget, but to become complacent.

Good morning Joan Cox, Retired Broker/Owner ,

The terrorist attack on 9/11 will forever be ingrained in my mind. It was first time I understand the Death to America chants. They really hate who we are, what we stand for, our entrepreneurial spirit and with no doubt in my mind want to rid the earth of us.

A heartfelt reminder of a day that changed so many lives forever. We remember those who were lost, honor the courage of the first responders, and hold onto the spirit of unity and kindness that followed.

Kathy Streib it was like any other day around here.   When I went to lunch with my neighbors, told them I had a dentist appt on 9/11, and her face changed and asked me if it affected me.  OF course, every American.   She is from the UK, and was well aware of the date.

Thanks for sharing your insight from Portugal Joan. I'll never forget that people from 77 different countries died on 9/11, and many more died of chronic conditions afterwards, some continue to suffer 25 years later. The ripple effect of widows, orphans and families affected is widespread and heartbreaking. It's no wonder there are memorials all over the globe to remember this day.

Take care,

Grace

Jeff&Grace Safrin you are so right, it wasn't JUST America feeling the pain.  Many are going through PTSD so many years later too.  I have a friend in Denver that is.

Oh, what a beautiful post, Joan. Like you, I'll never forget. I remember exactly where I was and who I was with when both planes hit the WTCs. Friends and family lost loved ones and that day not only changed their lives but, it changed all of our lives forever. 💔
