Currently in America:

šŸž A loaf of bread: $5.99
🄣 A box of cereal: $7.99
⛽ Gas: $5.79/gallon
šŸš› Diesel: $7.89/gallon

Yes, prices vary depending on where you live…

But seriously: HOW are normal families supposed to keep up?!

How are people feeding their kids?

How are they filling their tanks?

How are they saving ANYTHING after paying the bills?

At what point do we admit EVERYTHING is just too damn expensive?!

šŸ’³ ARE YOU DROWNING IN CREDIT CARD DEBT?

šŸ” Do you have equity in your home?

Have you thought about a HELOC or a cash-out refinance?

If you’ve built equity in your home, there may be options to use that equity to consolidate high-interest debt, make a large purchase, or improve your overall financial position.

But here’s the important part:

Not every homeowner should tap into their equity.

A HELOC and a cash-out refinance are two different tools. The right option depends on your current mortgage, interest rate, equity, credit, monthly payment, and financial goals.

Before you make a move, let’s look at the numbers and see if it actually makes sense.

The cost-of-living question definitely gets people talking, but I think the second half of this post is where it gets really practical. If someone is considering using their equity, understanding all the options and costs first is key.

William Piotrowski I don't like tapping into equity if it is going to be used to create more debt.Ā  BUT with credit card interest rates at almost 30% using the equity in a home to pay them off should be seriously considered.Ā  At the very least they should consider a HELOC and cut down the interest rate SUBSTANTIALLY as you have suggested.
