...That the Topsfield Fair opens.

It's officially autumn when the Topsfield Fair opens. The dates this year are October 2nd through October 12th. The Fair opens on Friday evenings so they can weigh the giant pumpkins and proclaim the winner. This year, the winning pumpkin weighed 2,598 pounds! That's a lot of pies.

Tuesday is Military & Senior Citizens Appreciation Day. Veterans and Senior citizens are admitted for free.

No bias Leanne Smith the local farmer is more valuable to the community than the corporate farming conglomerates. I can feed my family by visiting my local farmers and purchasing their products.
