Lake Info

Well, here I am again and it's my second day of blogging. Wow, this is kind of fun! I said I want to keep you informed about Bass Lake and so here is some current information. It is going to be about 82 degrees today (I think it will be hotter!). The lake level is down about 1'8". The lake is still quite full and it is hard to find a beach for the grandsons to play on when they are here. It will start to slowly drop in a few weeks and then it won't be so hard to find a beach. This is a PG&E lake and is used for power and irrigation. But, since it is used as a recreational lake during the summer, PG&E has agreed to keep it full, if possible, during the summer, until Labor Day, and then they will start to let the water level go down. We have something new up here this year. We have a Farmer's Market on Wednesday's from 4-7PM in the Pines Village. They have live music, great fruits, vegetables and flowers. Last week, they even had someone BBQing hamburgers, etc. This is a great addition to our little community. Well, that's it for now. See you soon and happy blogging! Nancy
