Men - Some Startling Health Stat's to get us Thinking

 Here's some interesting figures I came across a while back from the CDC (Center for Disease Control about men's health issues. I turned 50 this year and all of a sudden I'm paying more attention to these sort of things and rethiking how I take care of myself.

Health Facts:

Men die at higher rates than

women from the top 10 causes of

death and are the victims of over

92% of workplace deaths.

In 1920, women lived, on average,

one year longer than men. Now,

men, on average, die almost six

years earlier than women. (CDC)

Apart from the obvious genetic stuff at birth, part of the problem might be that women are so much better at routine maintenance.  Women have many ailments but we manage our health-care better.  Interesting post!
