1. Practice, Practice, Practice; One of the great things about summer is children and sporting events. Even if you are not lucky enough to be one of the parents sitting on the sideline in the sweltering heat of the day cheering your little one on, this is a great opportunity to get out and mingle with other parents. Many parents sitting on those sidelines not only forgot to bring a water bottle for themselves; many will forget to bring one for their child. This a great opportunity to step in with some water bottles with your name, slogan and contact information right on the bottle. Another thought would be to speak with the coaches of the teams and agree to donate the "after game snack". A way to a man's heart might be through his stomach, but to a parents heart it is through their children.

2. Host a water-balloon fight in your target neighborhood; It is very inexpensive to go to your local party store and have your Name, company logo and contact information imprinted on balloons. This is a great excuse to go door knocking for those who don't like to do it routinely. Invite all the neighbors (young and old) to join you for some fun in the sun. Kids can't resist a water-balloon fight. You would be surprised how many adults might want to attend.  Don't forget to bring a sign-up list for those people interested in your next neighborhood event.

3. School is out, or is it? For most kids school is out for the summer. It is a time of lazy days, pool parties and backyard BBQ's. But what about all those kids who are stuck in school this summer? Be the hero and try and organize bringing Otter Pops on the last day of summer school. The school will usually do a "fun day" on the last day of school which many parents attend. For about $20.00 you could feed the entire school popsicles.  Not only will you be able to meet the staff and teachers, many parents will be there too!  Parents, Staff and Teachers equals leads!

4. Spend some time in the sun;  Go to your local aquatics center and hand out small samples of sun block with your name, slogan and contact information clearly on a label on the back of the bottle. Offer to mail the parents a larger bottle in exchange for their contact information. Many parents forget to bring sun block with them and will be grateful that you remembered!

5. Back to School; Print Full color book-covers for your local schools and get the school to pass them out to the students. Book-covers are pretty inexpensive to order and are a great way to get your name in front of the parents of all these students.
