I decided to take BLOGGING seriously! I have been getting some coaching from one of the BEST! Thanks Colleen! Active Rain is so lucky to have you as part of the team!

I decided to go across the USA to see and meet all the Featured Agents on Active Rain. Not in my car, with my mouse! My thought was there has to be some really great writers across the Country, so what better way to find the best BLOGGERS, than to see who's the Featured Agent in every State. Let's face it, to get to the top, you can't just be a BLOG reader, you get out of it what you put into it right?

I believe the members below should get a huge round of applause for all the time and efforts they've invested into the Active Rain Network. They have set the pace and the standard for us aspiring writers!! They have built this City! Hats off to each of you in all 50 States.

This post was written 1000 years ago. I see someone has been traveling through the ActiveBrad Archives. lol. When you leave a comment on a post this old, somehow it works it's way back up the list in those groups it's been placed and is reborn to the blogosphere. In some cases this is a great thing, but with a post like this, it is a snapshot of time as Maureen has pointed out, the new and updated post is open for another member to write now. Passing on the baton (hint hint). It's fun to look back at these older posts and see where we've come from. Boy have we come a long way since this one!!! :-)

So someone accept the challenge and do this one for today, it will take you a while, I remember this one did for me, but it's a post that gives the recognition to all those that deserve it for all their efforts here in the rain. You'll have to go to ALL 50 states for this one. Have fun, and enjoy!! :-)

Maureen - going through this list was fun. Castellum brought it back to life and now I actually enjoyed reading one of my old posts (which normally I don't..lol) The points sure have changed for many of these folks and some of them are no longer here. Not sure what happened to Ann Guy and some of the others, but it's nice to see and know that you're still here. To me, you are one of the pillars and icons of AR. You have been a great mentor and I have enjoyed reading your blog since I started here. (i think this was my 3rd or 4th post)

Thanks for sticking around here and being the great example that you are: You're still #1....

the list was a success but it appears me and you will have to work together on that featured members list i started since there were some naysayers who want to get mentioned despite the fact they don't have the points to be visible. Interested in a partnership to make this epic list with us? You would certainly be instrumental in that help. Are the names on your list still viable in your opinion? if so then they should be added ofcourse.

This list was created way back on 3/19/2007, almost a year and a half ago. This was when I first joined AR. Some of these Bloggers are no longer even here, and of course the more active members based on points have moved into new positions.

I had to go into each state individually to see who was the #1 featured agent or member at that time. This could be one of those posts that comes out monthly, unfortunately I just don't have that kind of time anymore. I'll have to check out your post regarding the featured members list you mention. Thanks. :-)

Brad thanks for the mention... I have mixed feelings about post like this... since I was opposed to the point system until fall 2007.... I come by it honestly... I think points were / are ingenious but I think focusing on good content ... Localism is a better idea.
