Well, as we are rolling along to the end of April, I can say that this is the best time to purchase a home in Johnson County KS. What does this mean exactly? This means that there is more product on the market than there are people to buy them. The home prices have begun to drop to reflect the lack of buyer activity. So now is a great time to purchase an under valued home in a relatively strong and stable market.

What does this mean to you if you are a buyer, or thinking of becoming a buyer? First off, you will have no problem finding a home that is under value, means that you do not need to try and negotiate down from the asking price. Many homes are already priced to sell and at a great reduction. You get a great home for less. Also interest reates are still low, check your local mortgage company, around 6.25%. So if you are credit worthy, now is the time to move. Waiting will cause you to pay higher interest rates and in the next 12 to 18 months that could be quite a bit. Depending on what the Feds do to the rates by then and how the economy is doing. Secondly you will also see in that time frame a very good chance that the market shift back to a sellers market and you loosing out on your opportunity to purchase a home at a reduced price.
