Quick Staging Before and After

By
Home Stager with Hallmark Sotheby's International Realty & Joyce's Interiors

I received a call from a realtor asking me to quickly stage one of her listings.

She didn't want me to work more than 4 hours and that I should help the Seller with organizing closets, toys, etc.

I entered the house, spoke to the homeowner and we decided my time was better spent on the family room, kitchen and dining room.

I only used the Seller's items.

We had one of those last week!  Crazy but it helped.  Is the photo on the fireplace a family photo? Perhaps using the two other pieces of art on that wall over the fireplace might have de-personalized it a bit more for the staging?

Lisa,

Thanks for the good point regarding the photo, I do attempt to depersonalize as much as I can.

Your idea is well taken.

Margaret

Thanks for your kind words, can't wait to meet you at the end of the month.

Andy

I hope it sells quickly for the owners, they priced it right.

Looks great, Joyce!!  It's much more organized and more appealing given what you did.

Best of luck with a quick sale!

Kathy

One item I found out about here on Active Rain was the wide angle Kodak cameras.  They are great for showing those rooms.  You can get the whole room in one shot.  I believe they stopped making them, but you can still get them on the internet.
