Racine & Kenosha...What's in a name?

I have been working the last few days to give my blog a face lift. It still remains under construction as work on coming up with a name for my blog. It shouldn't be this hard, but I tend to over think things. Part of my dilemma is trying to incorporate both Racine and Kenosha while having the name be a reflection of what my blog is about. Our office is in Kenosha, but almost by accident about 65% of my closed transaction this year have been in the city of Racine. As I was doing some research I came across some interesting information. Did you know...

The city of Racine is named for the Root River. The river is about 35 miles long, and flows into Lake Michigan in the city of Racine. Racine is the French word for root.

The city of Kenosha was first called Pike after the post office was established at Pike Creek in 1836. In 1837, after a town meeting, the name was changed to Southport, because the town was the southernmost part of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. The name was again changed in 1850 to Kenosha, which was taken from the Indian name for pike. In Chippewa, "Kinoje," is the word for pike or pickerel.

Well...I guess I'm not the only one who struggles with naming things...Kenosha went through a couple names before it got it's name!
