Today, I did a Turtle Run at Marine Park in Brooklyn...

After my run, I went across the park to the Salt Marsh Nature Center...

They have an atrium full of eye candy... like birds and water views. I shall showcase it tomorrow for Localism...

Writing to my diary may actually be fun... Thank you, Deb.

Here's one last bit of eye candy for your sneak preview:

Carolyn, You have had a wonderful day already! What is the heat like there? I am wishing for relief here. We are at 102 degrees today already and I wish I could exercise but it would kill me!

Thank you so much for being my first Diary submission! I am hoping that once in a while people will take the time to print these out and place into a book like form for family and simple memories!

Again, thank you C.

Hey Deb, thank you for creating such a unique group. This looks like it could really be fun! The temperature is currently 89 but it feels like 92 because of all of the heat being reflected, generated and/or stored from the concrete.

It's a good idea to back this stuff up. I'm thinking about saving each blog as a full web page and burn a file to CD to keep with my paper copies, just in case.

Carolyn, that's brilliant. We can't be too careful. How do I save a blog as a web page?

BTW, I would love for it to be 89 here! I might even get to go outside! It didn't affect me till I got older...than dirt!

Haaaa! I did not see that one coming! (LOL)

To save a web page select "file" (upper left hand corner of your browser menu), then select "save page as" and a dialog box will appear. The "file name" will be the page that you are currently on (which should automatically be there in the box), and the "save as type" should already automatically reflect "Web Page, complete." Just make sure that you pay attention to where you are saving the file before you click the "save button." After that, the entire page will be available for "off line viewing" if you want to burn a backup of your work to disc.

Carolyn, I'm enjoying your photo tour around your area. I feel like I'm strolling side by side with you and you are pointing out the sites with your annotations. Thanks for putting this in Deb's new Diary Group.

Gary, you are very welcome. I plan on sharing many of the photographs in my collection that I haven't used while writing about my creative day in my diary. I even plan on letting you guys see how my next gallery show is shaping up behind the scenes. My diary will be a sneak preview of what I'm cooking up as an artist and blogger for CC, AR/Localism and the Ward Nasse Gallery. I think it will be a lot of fun to bounce ideas off of everyone. Maybe I'll post in a more timely manner if I have some help picking through my photographs! :-)

Don, I do believe you are right! I can't wait to put on my cross trainers, get the kids on the school bus and jet off into the streets for some fun with my camera! :-)

C', couple questions.... 1) what is CC?  I've seen you refer to it a couple times.  2) I'd love to know what kind of camera you are using.  That bird shot was not an easy shot to get.  I'm impressed.  However, it  must be fairly portable if you are using it on your turtle runs.

The fence posts combined with the round rocks made that bottom picture intriguing.

Hi Sondra, I glad you enjoyed the photographs. I use a Nikon N70 with an AF Nikor 35-80mm lens (film). I also use a digital Nikon, the Coolpix 7600 (compact, lightweight, gorgeous and fits in the palm of my hand). I jog with the digital. CC = Club Chaos. :-D
