How much fun can a girl have in real estate? It's not just about the potential income. Not for me! Because I'm the local history nut...... it's about helping to buy or sell a historic home - usually in a historic district in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida.
So here's the fun part for me. A potential Seller calls me and is in town and wants to talk about the prospects of selling a family home she owns. She makes some reference that I, initially, write off as "yeah, sure" about the home having been a church. And it's not in a current historic district.
Here I am this afternoon creeping around through the vines and vegetation enthralled. Moreso, when I entered the structure. We went in through the back door and saw the plaster falling off the lath, assessing the moisture seeping through the frame stucco structure .....and when we entered the "living room" which MUST have been a church!.....
Well, I'm off to City Hall tomorrow and to the City Directories....and I can't wait to find the perfect Buyer for this absolute FIND of a home.
