I just complteted a great transaction with some wonderful first time home buyers here in Spokane WA.
First of all, I was just lucky (blessed) they called me. They got my name online somehow and were not sure where: My Blog? My web site? My company web site? My listings? It doesn't matter.
From the first call I got, I found a cheerful positive gal named "Christa". I spoke with her about homes, and agreed to meet them the next day at a listing I sent them via e-mail.
When we got there her husband was with her, and he was equally nice, and engaging. They wrote an offer on the first house I showed them! Too good to be true? It doesn't happen often, but it happens. We did have some big hurdles with the seller, but all in all we got there.
Throughout the transaction "John and Christa" were so easy and great to work with. They were always polite, thanked me for my service each time we spoke, and had a twinkle in their eyes each time we met at the house.
Christa has a very demanding job and is newly pregnant, AND her husband was leaving for IRAQ the day after closing. With a new home, moving, demanding job, newly pregnant, and last but lost least, the love of her life going off to serve our country in this war, you think she would be rude or something at least once!? NEVER.
OUR ATTITUDE IS ONE OF THE THE ONLY THINGS WE HAVE CONTROL OVER. I was so impressed by this young couple I would love to CLONE them. I am looking forward to keeping in touch with them, seeing the baby, and watching their family grow in their very first home! This business can be very rewarding. In fact, it usually is! I got this from e-mail from him yesterday:
"We Would like to go on record to say thank you for the opportunity in making our dream house journey a pleasant experience. It has been our pleasure to work with you and your staff and look forward to continuing a business relationship in the future. You represent a company that truly cares about their clients and we appreciate all that you have done. Again thank you. "
I write this blog with a special wish and prayer for this wonderful Family...
