Acai berries! Is this the new fountain of youth?

By

Interested in reducing cholesterol, living longer, having more energy and looking great? Apparently the Acai berry is the answer! This berry is grown in South America and has been claimed to have the highest antioxidant level of any food know to mankind! Indeed it has been labeled the number 1 food in the world according to the latest media reports.

As a middle aged women looking for the answer to my fatique, wrinkles and weight gain, you can imagine my thrill to find out that all I have to do is drink a little of the berry juice two times a day and I can be very healthy and look great! No problem! Where can I find this juice?

A trip to the local health food store was all I needed. There were several types of juices to choose from. Of course I picked the cheepest one. Only $25.00 for 17 oz. Wow! That is a little expensive don't you think?

Looking online, I found other products claiming to have this miracle juice. The price? A mere $60.00 a bottle.

Ok, so if I am going to use this product to stay healthy, It will probably cost $4-7 dollars a day!

What do you think? Has anyone out there tried the juice?

The key with the acai berry is that you want a juice made from the pulp, or freeze dried powder.  The berry is very perishable.  There are two companies that make it this way.  However one is more expensive when you factor in the freight charges.  The other company is a a multilevel marketing company and they blend it with other juices. The antioxident rating of company #1 is slight higher than company number #2, but the distribution is set up where the cost is less.  That said you must sign up as a distributor to make it cost effective.

Now, to answer your question, yes I have tried the juice, the acai berry is natures most complete food.  It helped curb my appetite, increased my stamina, and eased some pain that I have from arthritis and diabetic neuropathy.  I am diabetic, so diabetics need to monitor there sugar levels, not because it will increase it. but just the opposite..it LOWERED my blood sugar.  There are a host of other benefits to lenghty to get into, but its not voodo, simply a fruit with the highest antioxidant level of any food source.  This is just my experience, I signed on as a distributor to get it at the lowest cost.  I go through about 3 to four bottles a month.  But I stopped for a while to see what would happen, and I went back on it, as I felt a great deal better.  Should you have any questions, ask away.

My friend sells Mona Vie wich is suppose to be almost purely acai berry.. it is 50.00 a bottle, but he swares it works. I have started drinking it this week. I think it DOES help. I am just not sure it is worth the price.

Raylene, you can get monavie for about 27.00 or less depending if you drink the regular monavie, or monavie active provided you sign up as a distributor.  The cost is minimal to sign up.

NEW FORM OF FRAUD - ACAI BERRY - FREE SAMPLES

My mother always taught me to try to learn from someone else's mistakes and stop reinventing the wheel.

We are all being deluged with emails about the Acai berry and these free samples - just pay postage.  Okay, one dummy, step up to plate.

Naive and trusting, I ordered my one week free sample for $3.99 hoping to see a wonderful difference in my life and go on to a lifetime supply of this fountain of youth and health.

I took the week's supply...felt no different...and said "oh well...I've done worse things with $3.99."

I know you're waiting for the other show to hit the ground and duck...here it comes!

I get a package in the mail with a bottle of 60 pills.  I go on line and look at my credit card and they have charged my card an additional $74.99!!!!!!

First I called the c/c company and am disputing the charge but I know I will lose.  I contacted Performance Products USA at acai.performanceproductsusa.com and was refered to their webpage buried among millions with a click on accept terms which has a negative marketing plan and they will continue to hit my card for $74.99 until I opt out of the program.

They also refuse to take it back "unopened" and could care less about anything I try to do.  Because of their terms, no matter how well they hid them on their website and how unethical opt out programs are, the credit company will deny my dispute.

So, do your friends and associates and family members a HUGE favor...copy and send them this information so they do not fall into the same trap I did...let them learn their lessons the cheap and easy way...my lesson was far too expensive.

And by forwarding this to all who will listen, you will be helping me get the word out to these scam artists, that we are not going to take this entrapment lying down.  Send to everyone you know....PLEASE?

To the woman who was charged later on.

You have to read the terms and conditions.  It clearly states that they will charge you the extra and automatically send you a new supply every month if you don't opt out before a certain date.  Not many ppl actually read the terms and condtions of anything.  You probably will from now on though.

There have been all sorts of claims about acai -- I would read more on line.  There are less expensive alternatives than Monavie!
