What does the word Toronto Mean?

There is a lot of miss understanding of what the word "TORONTO" means and it meanings, yes it is a Mohawk Word "Tkaronto" however it not only means "where there are trees standing in the water" and "place of meeting" but more so "MEETING PLACE" in Mohawk language also.

Im not sure why people who are not Native Indian think they are Kanatans because the only ture Ka-na-tans are First Nations Native People By Blood. I think people should do some proper research and have some RESPECT for the NATIVE PEOPLE and quit Abusing them. All and most of the names in Kænədə (Canada) are of Native Origin!

Something else you might like to know the word Kænə-də (Canada) comes from a Wendat (Huron-Iroquoian) word, Ka-na-ta, meaning "village" or "settlement". However the word also means "This Is The Land That The Creator Gave Us".

Oh Canada Our Home And Native Land < These Words Is Not Talking About Any Other Then Native People Because It Is There Home And Native Land.
