That's right! You don't need a dime to have great time in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

1. Car d'Alene Classic Car Show Event- Held in the Month of July each year. This event is all about cars, friends, car buffs and a 1950's Rock & Roll Atmosphere. Sherman Avenue is closed down for an old fashion Cruse through and around downtown. After the cruise, the classic and antique cars line the streets for all to view and enjoy. On Saturday evening a Street Dance lights up the night with music, dance and fun, fun, fun. It's a great family event. For information, call 208-667-5986

2. Watch Eagles Soar - Watch the eagles soar, swoop and scoop fish out of Lake Coeur d'Alene. You can do this all on your own or during the Public Eagle Watch hosted by the Bureau of Land Management, IDG and US Forest Service from December 26th through January 1st. They will provide Spotting Scopes and Information at Wolf Lodge Bay and Mineral Ridge Trail-head in Beauty Bay 11:00 am - 3:30 pm. 3. OLDEST Standing Building in Idaho- Cataldo Mission. Old Mission State Park, located just East of Coeur d'Alene. The Mission was built on the hillside sometime around 1850 it is the oldest standing building in Idaho. Built by Coeur d'Alene Tribal Members and Jesuit Priests 150 years ago. When you walk inside you will find it to be breathtaking! Self or Guided tours are available. The Mountain Man Rendezvous is held there in August. 4. World's Longest Floating Boardwalk - Check out the Boats, Swimmers, and awesome Lake and Mountain Views as you stroll the World's Longest Floating Boardwalk at the Coeur d'Alene Resort. The Boardwalk is 3/4 of a mile long and has a 2-Towered Bridge that raises and lowers for the larger boats.
5. Centennial Trail in Coeur d'Alene- Bike, Run or walk. Take in the beautiful sites as this trail hugs the Spokane River and Lake Coeur d'Alene. It stretches 23-miles from the Idaho Washington border to Higgens Point at the east end of Lake Coeur d'Alene. For more information: http://www.northidahocentenialtrail.org/.
6. City Beach - Swim & Fun in the Sun at City Beach in Downtown Coeur d'Alene. This is a happening beach that people from all over come to visit. It offers Swimming, Sunbathing, Socializing, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Playground, Picnic areas and Food Vendors. If you prefer quieter beaches go to Sanders Beach in front of the Jewett House. It is a quiet strip of beach about 600 ft. stretch of beach that runs from the Jewett House toward the Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course.
7. Concerts in the Park- Coeur d'Alene's Handshake Productions bring us these free concert series. The Coeur d'Alene City Park Concert Series starts in June and continues through August. Check out this year's schedule at: Concerts in the Park

8. Enjoy the ArtWalk- ArtWalk is held every second Friday of the month from April through December (there are some exclusions) from 5-8:00 pm. Galleries host opening receptions with the opportunity to meet artists, listen to live music and view new artwork.
9. Antique Wooden Boat Show - Antique and Classic Boat Show will be held Sept 19-20 this year. Boats line the Coeur d'Alene Resort Floating Boardwalk. If you're lucky you may get to ride on one of these rare classics. Even if you don't catch a ride, just viewing and/or watching them cut through the lake water is a thrill in itself.

10. Horse Drawn Carriage Rides- Carriage through Downtown Coeur d'Alene. Board the Carriage under the Sky Bridge at Second Street & Front Avenue. Free Carriage Rides from July 7th to August 20th (Every Saturday except Aug 2nd), 7:00 to 10:00 pm. There are also free carriage rides in the Winter.
