I just want a phone, one that answers calls, makes calls, and has voice mail.....PERIOD! Boy is it hard to just get a phone these days....they have cameras, camcorders, calenders, games, Internet, World Alarms,and regular alarms. What do you do if you just want a PHONE, not a mini computer;I don't want to text and drive :)
Phone Frustrations
When was the last time you bought a phone? I had to finally give up and take my phone in to get it checked. Calls were being dropped, and messages weren't always getting to me. Not good in our business......so I bit the bullet and went to the Sprint Store.
I have/had a Palm Treo but decided I am tired of it. I just want a Phone. I have a tablet PC, so I can check mails, send mails, surf the net, play games if I choose...but when a client calls I want to be able to answer a phone.
Easier said than done these days. I looked at the different phones. So many choices. After my old Treo 650, which was heavy with little buttons I wanted something light. It also had to have buttons that were big enough to see without glasses.
It's amazing all the things a phone can do, and I never use the functions so why have them? Do the Jones care, or my clients if I answer on a Blackberry, Treo, or even on an old black desktop dial phone?
No....they just want someone to answer :)
The bad news is Sprint is giving me a new Treo, and the good news is I bought a new phone. I got the Samsung M520 because it had the slide feature. Easy to answer, and very light :) I figure I don't text that much so who cares if I have a QWERTY keyboard? And the camera wouldn't do for much of anything, but I have a camera. As far as web.....yes if I need it it has that too :)
The most important thing was I wanted a phone that didn't have a learning curve :)
Just give me a good ring, and an answer button and I'm happy.
Oh yea it has to have Bluetooth so I can answer in the car :) :)

You are right about the changing technology with all the gadgets. I just need one that works and I can answer as well. I'm just old school. My phone is bulky and heavy otherwise it does everything I needed.
