The Basilica of Holy Hill is located on top of 435 acres of rolling hilltops in a peaceful country setting. THe shrine holds numerous community events like the St. John Bosco Youth Day and an annual Arts and Crafts Fair (coming up on September 20th, 2008)
It is designated as a National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians being lifted to the status of a Minor Basilica in 2006.

As you can see the Basilica Towers are undergoing some maintenance but the grounds and gift shop are still open to the public and the Basilica is holding regularly scheduled masses during this time of repair.

They have been doing some repairs and maintenance for the past couple years on different areas of the structure. Probably the biggest recent repair besides the masonry work would be the re-roofing of the two towers with new slate tiles.
As you can see from the following pictures taken from both available homes and vacant land in the area, the Holy Hill Basilica offers quite the breath taking views.
