Diary of a New Agent (Getting Online & Logo)

By
Real Estate Agent with Acquire Real Estate

It has been a while since I have blogged. I have been a little frustrated by my lack of progress and some perceived roadblocks. I am the type of person who likes to run with a project at full speed and I get frustrated when I have to slow down or temporarily stop. I keep reminding myself that it has only been a month since I got my license and I am ahead of most people.

I am still waiting on the first listing. Actually I am waiting on 3 listings - 2 of which will have buying transactions also. I hope and pray that I will be writing on Monday that I got all three this weekend. I have been going to Camp 4:4:3 for the past 3 weeks. I have learned a lot and I continue to add to the list of things I need to learn.

But I want to tell everyone about some fun things. This week I have been working on my website. It is a template site from Keller Williams and has a ways to go, but at least it is up and running. Today I finally discovered Facebook. David Patterson had encouraged me to online on Facebook but I have been reluctant because I saw as just another thing I have to do everyday. I was wrong - it's  LOT of FUN! I get to talk to people I don't usually talk to. I found people I haven't talked to in years. I'm meeting new people. I'm still not sure what I am supposed to be doing with it, but it is fun. You are all welcome to come be my friend!

I also started setting up my blog setup. I hope to announce that to you in the next few days.

Oh, I almost forget.... Check out my new logo....

Personal Photo The tag line on the website is "Unlocking Your Dream Home"

It was designed by a good friend who does graphic design. I think she did a great job. i hope you like it too.

Kiri, keep up the good work.  Blogging does take up a lot of time but is fun and informative.

The thing I like about AR that I don't like about Facebook, is that AR is speciifically for Realtors, whereas Facebook has more of a rep for being a "social" site... Personally, i get more business/clients/leads from real esate sites.

Best of luck! Don't give up!

Have a great weekend!

I know Facebook is a "social" site and AR is for meeting real estate professionals, but getting on Facebook lets me find people that I once knew and let's them know I am now in real estate. I am not expecting a bunch of referrals from Facebook. I am expecting to expand my contact list.

Don't worry - I am far from giving up - I am very determined!

Kiri,

Nice logo - just keep at it.  4:4:3 is a fantastic training to give the foundation to build your business.  I would also suggest you read the Red Book - Millionaire Real Estate Agent, co-authored by Gary Keller.  It helps tie in a lot of things from 4:4:3... not that you needed something else to add to your day! :)

Best of luck,
Brian
