OK,,,where do I start? Any suggestions from the gallery? No? OK here I go.
I'm originally from New Mexico where my grandparents homesteaded in the mountains of the Lincoln National forest. The ranch was over 3,000 acres. Surveyed that's a lot more surface space because they measure across not with the contour of the land.
Anyway's, My Dad died in Oct. 2003. We were very poor and about all he left me of value was a family album over 100 years old. I never even new it existed as he never showed anyone. To say the least I was taken back by this discovery. In short I took this album and what other things of information I had available and went about finding out about my family. I was able to trace my family back 16 generations to about 1658! I bound all this information into a book with over 200 photographs, ship manifests and diaries from the Indian wars. Now I have something to pass along to my son. Perhaps when I'm gone he will find away to add even more to it.
Now I live in Austin Texas and hope I never have to leave. This is home for me now. I've been here since 1990. I came to Austin to work for DELL as a commodity manager. Thru this job I met lots of DELL people, and lots of people on the outside of DELL on a professional level. Then I also met a women who became my best friend and to this day is. She knew everyone else I didn't know. So thru her and my job at DELL I know a lot of people. I can't go anywhere in Austin without knowing someone in the room. From Dellionires, to politicians, to common people.
I'm letting you know I am a par-tier! For years I belonged to two social groups until they disbanded a couple of years ago. The 1st one being the "Austin Tequila Society".
The Tequila society being a little more down to earth and the Martini being black ties and tuxedo's. Each society held about 4 fund raisers per year. The tequila society raised money each year for scholarship's for children involved in the FFA. The martini society raised money for the children's pediatric Aids center.
I'm also known in Austin as a Lake Rat as I hang with the lake crowd. I ran with a crowd associated with one of the area's most prominent ranchers. Tommy Steiner. Tommy died a few years ago and the lake hasn't been the same. Anyway Tommy had a 80' Bluewater on the lake with 3 bedrooms, three levels outside and 2 baths, living, dining, and kitchen. It even had a washer and dryer. We had lots of fun on that boat. Now that Tommy is gone his grandchildren now party on the boat. Everything evolves as it should.
My son like most do not listen when their young and when I told him to get an education he wanted to play. But now he's a 31 year old father with two boys. One named Justin who's 6 and another named Kaleb who is 4. My son Damian decided to go to work in the day, go to school at night and he graduated this last fall. WITH HONORS! He had a grade point average of 3.98! I'm so proud and he's is a great dad! This is my son my daughter in-law, two grandsons, myself and two other realtor's.
OK enough about me for now.
Oh, yeah one other thing! I'm a good looking HUNK!
