Client's new baby

By
Real Estate Agent with Allen Tate Realtors

A couple of clients to whom I sold a home about a year ago, and since closed for another couple they referred to me just had a baby tonight.  I just received 4 emails from him with numerous photos of their new baby.  He was so excited, he only told me the name, not weight, etc.  I knew they were expecting and they are so excited.  Their lives will never be the same again and although the first part can be a difficult adjustment, it is a very exciting time in their lives.  I was simply in awe that we had created another human being that wonderful and perfect when mine were born.  You learn so much from them and you grow as a human being as they grow up.  You really do not appreciate your own parents until you have children.  It certainly gives you a new perspective and appreciation of your parents when you have and begin raising a child.

They invited me to their wedding and it was a beautiful ceremony. The reception was lots of fun and both their families were from out of state.

It really is "20 years of hard-time" but is worth it.  I have no regrets about having my sons.  They have been constants in my life and life would not be the same without them.

Have a great weekend!

It is amazing how intertwined Realtors are with major life-changing events in clients lives.  Wonderful changes, tragic changes, we have to be ready to hear whatever comes.  It is so fantastic to be a part of happy times, like a wedding, or the birth of a baby that nudges people into changing homes!

Hey Sheila, Isn't that great?  My customer text messaged me within 20 minutes of the birth of their second child.  I was so honored to be on the list!   I sold them their current home and now they have to move back to Europe and I am selling their home...Repeat business is great! I love my children as well...it's all very much well worth it!

You have a great weekend as well.

While you are at it my friend, how about attaching a link to yourself...such as www.SheilaReeves.com, so people can find you...Just a thought...  :-)

I have two little ones and it makes selling and being an independant contractor hard...no maternity leave for us LOL! but is it worth it. You are right. new parents have no idea what they are getting into, but it is a wonderful thing.

This is what makes real estate worthwhile. Being part of the family when you sell someone a home! Nice post!

Congratulations to you... being important enough to them that they wanted to include you in their joyous occasion.  It's good to hear that there are some terrific agents are still out there.
