Lexington KY Named 9th Safest City to Drive In

Lexington, Kentucky has been named the 9th safest city to drive in according to the most recent "Allstate America's Best Drivers Report(TM)."

The safest city to drive in, according to Allstate's report, is Sioux Falls, South Dakota, which has been named the safest city to drive in for three years in a row.

According to the Allstate report, drivers in Lexington, Ky are 22% less likely than the average driver to have an accident, with an average number of years between collisions of 12.9.

If Lexington, KY is one of the safest city drive in, I bet it has just as low levels of stress, too! 

I could not find my state anywhere but we get visitors from Washington DC, Baltimore, MD; Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York so I pretty much now how we would rank.

Regina -- I've driven in Boston and D.C. during rush hour and I can tell you, the traffic situation here is sooooo much easier to navigate! Having said that, though, you should hear some of the comments I get about what a traffic nightmare it is. I guess it's all a matter of perspective!

Sounds like Lexington is a friendly city to live in with safe drivers. I'm not use to that in South Florida were driving on I-95 can be exciting

Lou -- Lexington is a really friendly city with great beauty and, apparently, safe drivers. I remember having the joy of driving down I-95 on a business trip and I'm glad I don't have to do that on a regular basis!
