Sitting in the office on a Saturday

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Shirley Marie Realty, Inc.

Boy, times have changed.  Here I sit creating!  yep,,creating.  Once upon a time on a Saturday all I did was show, show and show.  Now I create.  I sure do miss my customers.  I wonder where they are??  I am hoping they will come out soon....the market is pretty yummy right now for buyers.  What will it take to convince them that all will be well and that highs and lows are part of the cycle.  I know they are out there and I am looking for them in every direction I can.  Which leads me here.......to this site.

Valerie, welcome to ActiveRain.  It's nice to have a place to be on a Saturday afternoon, being creative, and knowing that you're being productive too, even when the phone isn't ringing off the hook.  Good luck to you.  Times will change.

The first up tick in mortgage rates will drive buyers in droves to the market. They will finally realize they missed the bottom, but they always do.

I think the housing stimulus bill will really help. I believe there's a pent-up demand among 1st time buyers who have been sitting on the fence or too scared to make a move. I believe the new bill, combined with the fact that mortgage rates are rising, will help.

Good luck with the creating.  I have been doing similar things too getting ready for the upswing in the market that is around the corner.

Days like today, even weeks like today, you should try "Motorcycle Lessons" or "Scuba Diving" or "Sky Diving".

This past weekend, (Thurs & Fri evening and all day Sat & Sun) I took Motorcycle lessons.  Since I'm 50 years old, it was wonderful doing something out of the ordinary and fun.  Gave me a very refreshed attitude & confidence...

Enjoy life!!  because life is short and money isn't everything!  It will probably be like this until the next presidential election, so challenge yourself and do anything else, until it passes.  Things will get better!!!  When things picks up, you will be refreshed, because you tried something new...  ;>)

Sure hope things pick up for you up there. A good number of my clients come from that area. I have ofice duty this weekend myself. Comes around about every three months. I actually look forward to it. Office phones are forwarded to your cell around 5:30 on Friday evening and you have it until 8:30 am on Monday.  I received 2 calls last night about 8:30 and 9:00. So far neither has turned into anything. Received 3 calls so far today and had a showing as a result of one. House was a foreclosure and too much work for the couple but, I did manage to start a repoire and get their phone# and email address. I promised to run a search for their requirements and email to them what I think meets their wants. I did so and hope now to hear back from them tomorrow and maybe show a few homes. Things had slowed here (Simpsonville SC) for about 2 months but looks to be picking up again a little. I sure hope so. Well stay creative, maybe put together somne things you've been meaning to get to but was just to busy to do until now.
