Many people find themselves in a financial bind because they have been transferred and can not sell the house they left behind because of the current real estate market.
Sometimes renting the house is the answer until the real estate market turns around, which it will!
In the Houston area, a house can be listed both or sale and for lease on MLS. If it sales before it rents that is great but, if it leases before it sales the rent will at least help to off set your expenses.
Nice rental homes are in demand because it is harder now than just a few months ago to get approved for a mortgage.
Even though it is a Buyers market and there are lots of homes on the market some Buyers find that they can not get loan approval. So, they rent for a year or so until they can increase their credit score.
If your house is in West Houston, Katy or Sugar Land I can help! If it is not located in my service area I am happy to give my professional opinion if you have any questions or perhaps I can direct you to someone who can help.
Trying to manage property from another location is not a good idea and usually doesn't work. I manage houses for Owners that tried to manage their own property from another location and realized that in the long run, it was cheaper and a lot few headaches to pay me to do it for them.
There is a lot more to property management than depositing the rent check every month!
I look forward to your response.
